For gorgeous floral arrangements - porcelain vase "Vario I" with gold rim designed by Gottfried Palatin for Porcelain Manufactory Augarten. The work of Gottfried Palatin is defined by the tension between design and applied art and can be effortlessly adopted for production due to the sophisticated development process.
Austrian designer, Gottfried Palatin, who spent a great deal of time studying abroad, was since 1984 a designer with main focus on the materials porcelain and glass.
Unlike most children, Gottfried Palatin knew very early on that he would practice an artistic profession. It was the only way he could imagine “creating design products that expressed my unique vision and passion for APPLIED ARTS. After working with J. & L. Lobmeyr and Theresienthal the Austrian designer began collaborating with the Vienna Porcelain Manufactory Augarten in 2005. “By working with ceramics I found the porcelain. The technical difficulty of the material is a special challenge and continues to fascinate me. The sensory beauty and practical application are married perfectly in porcelain. It’s no surprise, then, that the material is also called WHITE GOLD.”
From 1992, there have been numerous co-operations with international design companies such as – Authentics, Grundmann, LeitnerDesign, J & L Lobmeyr, Mercantile, Teunen Konzepte, WMF, Wiener Porzellanmanufaktur Augarten, which resulted in various products in different materials. His designs have been on display in exhibitions in Hong Kong, London, Tokyo, New York, Barcelona, Paris, Vienna, Hong Kong, etc., and received several awards.
